I remember this day in HB, the waves where absolutely pumping and about as good as it can get in Huntington Beach. The dawn patrol was crowded but by lunch time most people had taken their beatings and the lineup was empty. We sat on the beach for a couple hours and watched tons of perfect waves detonate up and down the beach.
I snapped this photo and it has always been one of my favorite images in my surf photo collection.
You can almost feel the spaghetti arms and fatigue from a 4 hour morning session in pumping surf.
